Marín, Ricard

Ricard Marín Llovet (Barcelona, 1874 - Mexico 1955)

He was born in Barcelona in 1874. He studied law in Barcelona, but devoted himself to painting and drawing. As an illustrator, he collaborated in numerous magazines and newspapers such as "El gato negro", "Hispania", "Madrid Cómico", "Blanco y negro", "La esfera" and "La ilustración hispano-americana".

He participated in 1908 in the General Exhibition of Fine Arts, in the National Exhibition of 1912 and in the VIII Salon of Humorists in 1921.

Previously, in 1912, he had founded El Gran Bufón, where he would also become director.

He stood out for the elegance and fluency of his inks.

In 1955 he died in Mexico.
