BIOGRAFÍA DE JOAN BARBERÀ:
Barcelona, 1927 – 2014
Master and etching artist, as well as painter and draftsman, he created his first workshop at the age of 23. At the age of 30, in Paris, together with Lluis Bracons, he creates L'Atelier de Recherches Plastiques et Techniques Calcographiques, where he begins a great friendship and collaboration with Dalí and Miró, working in the intaglio workshops of that city.
En 1966, en Barcelona, Barberà dirige los talleres de las Ediciones L’Estel, donde grabarán Picasso, Hartung, Fontana, Tàpies y Chillida.
Parallel to his collaborative work in editions of other artists, Barberà exhibits his work in galleries and museums. Exhibits Suite Bodegones at the Maeght gallery, with a catalog and touring Europe. Negre sobre Negre series, Miró Foundation catalog and tour. Bibliophile's book and suite of etchings and drawings of great size; Empúries, beginning of a return, itinerant by the Mediterranean with catalog and facsimile of the book. Mediterráneo, graphic work. Drassanes Museum; Bibliophile book; Paris-Olot; Olot Foundation Prize.
Miembro de la Real Academia de San Jordi, obtiene premios y homenajes de diferentes países.
